Alikanas Beach is a beautiful and peaceful sandy beach located on the northeastern coast of Zakynthos, next to Alykes beach.
The beach itself is relatively long and wide, with soft golden sand and shallow waters that are ideal for swimming and wading. The sea is usually calm and gentle, making it a popular spot for families with young children. There are also several beach bars and tavernas offering refreshments, snacks, and full meals, as well as sun loungers and umbrellas for rent.
Alikanas Beach is located close to the traditional village of Alikanas, which offers a more peaceful and relaxed atmosphere than some of the island’s more touristy areas. The village has several tavernas, bars, and small shops selling local products and souvenirs. There is also a small river that runs through the village, providing a picturesque backdrop for a stroll or a picnic.
Alykes Beach, which is located next to Alikanas Beach, is larger and more popular beach, known for its lively atmosphere and water sports activities. Both beaches offer stunning views of the Ionian Sea and are surrounded by picturesque hills and mountains.
