Dafni Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located on the south-eastern coast of Zakynthos, in the area of Vasilikos. The beach is known for its clear turquoise waters, soft golden sand, and stunning natural scenery.
Dafni Beach is approximately 300 meters long and is surrounded by a natural landscape of olive trees and greenery, making it a tranquil and peaceful location. The beach is part of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, which is dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta), an endangered species that nests on the island.
The sea at Dafni Beach is usually calm and shallow, making it perfect for swimming and other water activities. The beach is also a popular spot for snorkeling, as there is a small rocky island just off the coast with an abundance of marine life to explore.
There are several beach bars and tavernas along the beach offering refreshments, snacks, and full meals.
Access to Dafni Beach is via a narrow road, which is steep and winding in some parts. However, the journey is worth it, as the beach offers a peaceful and idyllic escape from the more touristy areas of Zakynthos.
